MithaiLab
Mithai, reimagined. Indian sweets rebuilt as modern fusion desserts, made for India.
The problem
Traditional mithai feels dated to younger buyers. Western desserts look trendy but have no cultural soul. Few premium gifts feel both Indian and modern.
Why it exists
Young Indians still want Diwali to feel like Diwali, but the usual box of sweets feels dated and Western desserts have no festive meaning. MithaiLab puts the mithai flavours they grew up with into modern dessert formats like tiramisu laddu and thandai cake pops. The result is a gift that looks premium and tastes like home, without being the same box everyone else brings.
Vision / purpose
To make mithai the gift young India is proud to give. We want to own “modern mithai dessert”: customisable gift boxes priced between traditional shops and luxury brands. We’ll start with Diwali, then grow into Raksha Bandhan, weddings and corporate gifting. If it works, Indian sweets feel exciting to a new generation again, and the festive culture behind them carries on.
